Deck overview

This is a Gruul Voltron deck built around Wolverine, Best There Is. The commander's damage-doubling effect turns a simple 4/4 into an 8-commander-damage hit, and pump tools like Berserk, Xenagos, and Jeska convert that into a one-shot kill. Counter synergies such as Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, and Halana and Alena make every hit larger, while a small fight package removes blockers and feeds Wolverine's growth. Jeska, Thrice Reborn in the 99 is the closest thing to a hidden commander: a three-mana triple-damage finisher. The deck can pivot to Karlach, Vigor, or Xenagos as secondary beaters, but the primary engine is Wolverine commander damage with extra-combat and trample support.
