Deck overview

High Perfect Morcant commands a synergistic Golgari deck that fuses classic Elf swarm velocity with persistent -1/-1 counter attrition and proliferate win conditions. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using efficient mana dorks like Llanowar Elves and Priest of Titania to deploy High Perfect Morcant ahead of curve. Once assembled on Turn 4, every entering Elf triggers Morcant's blight ability, distributing -1/-1 counters to weaken and eliminate opposing creatures. The deck then pivots to close the game on Turns 5 to 7 through two complementary vectors: proliferating poison counters seeded by cards such as Ichor Rats and Infectious Inquiry, or executing an overwhelming combat overrun with Triumph of the Hordes and Ezuri, Renegade Leader. Supporting engines like Nest of Scarabs, Blowfly Infestation, and Skullclamp generate continuous card draw and token fodder. Robust protection from Heroic Intervention and targeted recursion ensures resilient midgame execution.
