Deck overview

This deck uses Felothar the Steadfast to turn a large wall board into an attacking army. The commander also converts high-toughness, low-power creatures into substantial card flow by sacrificing them. Early turns develop lands, mana creatures, and walls such as Wall of Blossoms, Wall of Roots, and Overgrown Battlement. After Felothar is active, the deck can draw several cards each turn while preparing a combat finish. The main kill is Triumph of the Hordes: it gives the wall board infect and trample, while Felothar makes combat damage use toughness. Betor, Kin to All, Exsanguinate, Torment of Hailfire, and Nethroi, Apex of Death provide alternate routes, but they are less compact or less consistently accessed. Protection is good against battlefield removal, though the deck has little stack interaction and remains vulnerable during its multistep setup.
