Deck overview

This mono-white deck helmed by The Gaffer centers on an incremental lifegain and Angel tribal midrange strategy. The commander converts consistent life gains of three or more into steady end-step card draw, mitigating white's historical card advantage limitations. The deck deploys resilient lifegain enablers like Soul Warden, Righteous Valkyrie, and Angel of Vitality, pairing them with high-impact payoffs such as Angelic Accord, Nykthos Paragon, and Divine Visitation. Victory is achieved primarily by building a dominating aerial combat presence boosted by tribal anthems and +1/+1 counters, with Felidar Sovereign serving as an alternate win condition. While the deck boasts efficient removal like Swords to Plowshares and powerful recursion engines like Sun Titan and Emeria Shepherd, its reliance on combat damage and lack of nonland tutors mean it operates at a fair, predictable pace vulnerable to repeated sweepers.
