Commander: Talion, the Kindly Lord

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Talion, the Kindly Lord leads a Dimir control deck built to convert opponent spells into repeated life loss and card draw. The primary plan is to stall with countermagic, bounce spells, and mass removal while accumulating value from Rhystic Study, Phyrexian Arena, and planeswalkers. Secondary paths include stealing threats with Gonti and Sower of Temptation, plus incidental drain from Court of Ambition and Bloodchief Ascension. The deck closes with mana-hungry X spells-Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate-amplified by Wound Reflection or Bloodletter of Aclazotz into lethal drains. There is no hidden commander; Talion is a flexible engine rather than a required combo piece, and the deck can still function without him.
