Deck overview

This is a creature-based Naya counters deck led by Shalai and Hallar. Its main plan is to establish the commander, add repeatable +1/+1 counters, and convert those counters into targeted damage while building a large combat board. The deck has strong early mana from one-mana creatures, Sol Ring, Mox Diamond, and land tutors. Creature tutors also give it good access to several counter engines. Its main weaknesses are limited enchantment access, modest card flow, and the absence of a compact infinite win. Mayael's Aria offers a real alternate victory, but the deck cannot ordinarily assemble the enchantment and a 20-power creature on a predictable schedule. The deck can protect a key turn with Heroic Intervention, Teferi's Protection, Grand Abolisher, and Silence, but it does not maintain a lock. Expect a strong turn-6 engine in good draws, meaningful pressure around turn 8, and a fair midrange game rather than a reliable fast finish.
