Deck overview

Donatello, Way with Machines leads a mono-blue artifact aggro deck that combines rapid Voltron scaling with artifact creature swarm backups. The core strategy accelerates mana on early turns, casts Donatello, and deploys high-synergy artifacts like Turtle Van to double his +1/+1 counters each combat. With natural flying, Donatello threatens lethal commander damage against individual opponents starting on Turn 5. If the Voltron line is contested, independent threats such as Cyberdrive Awakener, Nettlecyst, and Urza, Lord High Artificer allow the deck to pivot smoothly into an expansive board of large construct beaters. A robust defensive package of hexproof equipment, indestructible modifiers, and efficient counterspells protects the commander during critical attack windows. While the deck possesses strong board resilience and reliable combat scaling, its sequential multi-turn clock gives opponents ample time to coordinate interaction, requiring careful timing of defensive resources.
