Cloud Ex Soldier - B4 by playtester123545

Format: Commander

Commander: Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER is a four-mana Naya Equipment commander with haste, and the deck is built entirely around suiting him up and swinging the turn he enters. His ETB attaches one Equipment for free; his attack trigger draws for every equipped attacker and, once he hits seven power, makes two Treasures. Buster Sword is the central payoff - it makes Cloud a 7/6, draws on hit, and then free-casts more Equipment. Kaldra Compleat and Halvar, God of Battle turn a hit into a one-shot commander-damage kill, while Boros Charm and Akroma's Will provide double strike and indestructible. The 99 runs a second Cloud (Cloud, Midgar Mercenary), Annie Joins Up, Stoneforge Mystic, Sigarda's Aid, Sram, Senior Edificer, and Puresteel Paladin to find, cheat, cast, and draw off Equipment. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through combat/voltron, backed by Sunforger instant tutoring and a dense protection suite.
