Deck overview

This Grixis deck is an explosive spellslinger combo build helmed by Cecily, Haunted Mage. The primary game plan revolves around accelerating mana in the early turns, establishing steady card advantage through engines like Rhystic Study and Archmage Emeritus, and executing an efficient infinite storm win. The primary win condition is the iconic Isochron Scepter and Dramatic Reversal combo, which generates infinite mana and storm with nonland mana rocks to fuel instant game-ending outlets such as Brain Freeze, Aetherflux Reservoir, or Tendrils of Agony. Beyond its primary line, the deck features strong secondary routes powered by Storm-Kiln Artist, Veyran, Voice of Duality, and explosive burst draw spells like Peer into the Abyss. Backed by premier free interaction such as Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, and Deflecting Swat, the deck protects its winning turns effectively while maintaining consistent Turn 4 to 5 assembly velocity.
