Deck overview

This mono-white deck leverages Lyra, Archangel of Dawn as a low-cost, high-scaling commander for an Angel tribal and lifegain strategy. The game plan opens with low-mana enablers like Soul Warden, Giada, Font of Hope, and Bishop of Wings before deploying Lyra on Turn 3. Every subsequent lifegain trigger distributes +1/+1 counters across all controlled Angels, rapidly compounding aerial power. Evasive beaters grow beyond damage sweepers while sustaining a high life total that turns on powerful threshold cards like Righteous Valkyrie, Speaker of the Heavens, and Resplendent Angel. Untutored singletons such as Akroma's Will and Felidar Sovereign provide decisive combat and alternate finishes, alongside an incidental infinite damage combo with Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Walking Ballista. The deck excels at board development and life buffering, though its lack of search tutors means it relies on raw card draw and redundancy to close games.
