Deck overview

This deck is a high-power colorless artifact combo and stax engine commanded by Liberator, Urza's Battlethopter. The primary plan leverages fast artifact mana and land acceleration from Urza and Locus lands to deploy oppressive tax and lock pieces early, including Trinisphere, Winter Orb, and Static Orb. Liberator, Urza's Battlethopter breaks parity on these symmetry-taxing artifacts by allowing spells to be cast at flash speed on opponent end steps. The deck converts this tempo and resource advantage into a decisive win on Turn 4 or 5 through compact infinite mana combos, most notably Basalt Monolith combined with Forsaken Monument or Rings of Brighthearth, sinking arbitrary mana into Walking Ballista for lethal damage across the table. Alternatively, the deck can establish an insurmountable hard lock using Karn, the Great Creator and Mycosynth Lattice. Strong land tutors and deep card advantage from The One Ring and Mystic Forge ensure excellent consistency and recovery.
