Deck overview

This deck is a Simic synergy build centered around The Astonishing Ant-Man, converting card draw triggers into +1/+1 counters and wide swarms of 1/1 Insect creature tokens. The game plan focuses on establishing early card advantage engines such as Archmage Emeritus, Mister Fantastic, Reed Richards, and Tatyova, Benthic Druid. These engines grow the commander while replenishing hand size. Once The Astonishing Ant-Man accumulates counters, its activated ability converts them into an insect army. The deck closes out the game through unblockable combat damage provided by Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive, flying evasion from Frostwind Invoker, or raw pressure from big threats like Koma, World-Eater. The interactive suite relies heavily on counterspells to protect key setup turns and disrupt opposing win attempts. While it generates substantial card velocity, the deck lacks fast tutor packages and depends on combat damage across multiple attack cycles to eliminate all opponents.
