Deck overview

This Grixis deck is commanded by Obeka, Splitter of Seconds, aiming to leverage her combat damage trigger to generate extra upkeep steps. In practice, the list displays notable AI-generated construction errors, mistakenly including draw-step and end-step cards like Font of Mythos, Dictate of Kruphix, and Fevered Visions that do not trigger on Obeka's upkeeps. The deck functions primarily as a midrange attrition shell with disjointed subthemes of Aristocrats, reanimation, and wheels. It establishes mana rocks on early turns, casts Obeka on Turn 4, and deploys high-impact threats like Plargg and Nassari or Psychosis Crawler on Turn 5. Winning relies on connecting with Obeka for free spell casts, wheeling hands with Reforge the Soul, and draining life totals with Gray Merchant of Asphodel. With no nonland tutors and symmetrical card draw aiding opponents, the deck operates through fair combat and incremental damage.
