Deck overview

This is a Golgari +1/+1 counters deck helmed by Jenova, Ancient Calamity, leveraging her combat trigger to distribute counters equal to her power and her death-trigger draw to turn sacrificial Mutants into a card-draw engine. The deck's primary game plan is to build an insurmountable board of large creatures through counter doublers (Corpsejack Menace, Branching Evolution, The Earth Crystal, Innkeeper's Talent) and mass counter-spreaders (Ouroboroid, Forgotten Ancient, Maester Seymour). It then wins via combat damage with trample (Sphere Grid, Kodama of the West Tree) or by sacrificing a massive creature to Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord for a table-draining kill. A secondary infinite-mana line involving Walking Ballista and a huge Gyre Sage or Incubation Druid exists but requires several enablers to assemble consistently.
