Volo Live Play by user3237436

Format: Commander

Commander: Master Chef and Volo, Itinerant Scholar

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

The deck is a Simic +1/+1 counter engine built around two command-zone commanders: Volo, Itinerant Scholar supplies repeatable draw through Volo's Journal, and the Master Chef background gives every creature an extra +1/+1 counter. The primary plan is to use those extra counters and draw triggers to grow creatures such as The Astonishing Ant-Man and Chasm Skulker, then finish with a team pump like End-Raze Forerunners or Tanazir Quandrix. Secondary paths include insect token generation from the two Ant-Man cards and proliferate tricks. There is no dedicated hidden commander; Tanazir acts as a powerful finisher in the 99. Commander removal slows the engine, but the Journal remains even if Volo leaves.
