Smaug the Impenetrable by TheGabbaGhoul

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Rakdos Treasure deck uses Smaug the Impenetrable as a damage-to-Treasure engine. You build Treasures early with Smaug, Wicked Worm, Goldspan Dragon, Professional Face-Breaker, Xorn and Academy Manufactor, then turn noncombat damage into more Treasures by pinging the indestructible 8/7 haste commander with Pyrohemia, Pestilence, Chain Lightning or Fire Covenant. Those Treasures fuel drain payoffs like Mirkwood Bats, Mayhem Devil, Ingenious Artillerist and Reckless Fireweaver, big mana finishers like Torment of Hailfire and Exsanguinate, and alternate wins with Revel in Riches and Hellkite Tyrant. Smaug the Magnificent and Wrathful Red Dragon add attack and redirection value while you set up the burst.
