Deck overview

This deck is a mono-green Big Mana Hydra Stompy deck commanded by Gargos, Vicious Watcher. The strategy accelerates mana during the early turns to cast Gargos on Turn 4, unlocking a massive 4-mana discount on all Hydra spells and turning any single-target spell into an asymmetric fight trigger. On Turn 5, the deck deploys massive threats such as Kalonian Hydra, Primordial Hydra, and Goldvein Hydra, rapidly scaling their power through counter-doubling mechanics and Unnatural Growth. The interaction suite converts low-cost protection and bite spells like Tamiyo's Safekeeping and Ram Through into creature removal via Gargos's ability. The deck closes games around Turn 7 through overwhelming trampling combat damage. While highly resilient against single-target removal due to dense defensive instants and Commander's Plate, the list remains vulnerable to mass exile sweepers and lacks stack interaction against opposing noncreature combos.
