Deck overview

This Izzet artifact deck is an exhibition build centered around Tony Stark // The Invincible Iron Man and an extensive suite of Marvel-themed heroes and technology. The early game focuses on deploying efficient cost reducers and mana rocks while using Tony's front-side ability to filter the top of the library for artifacts. Once six mana is available on Turn 5, Tony transforms into The Invincible Iron Man, gaining flying and haste while cheating high-cost artifacts and Equipment into play for free at combat. Threats such as Hulkbuster Armor, Meteor Sword, and Kappa Cannoneer turn Iron Man into a terrifying Voltron beater, while finishers like Cyberdrive Awakener and War Machine, Avenging Arsenal convert the wider artifact board into a lethal flying strike force. While the deck boasts strong mana velocity and card selection, its reactive disruption is modest, relying primarily on proactive aerial pressure to close out the game by Turn 8.
