Deck overview

This Orzhov midrange list helmed by Shadrix Silverquill blends +1/+1-counter go-wide, token aristocrats, and life-drain payoffs. Shadrix is a flexible combat-step engine: each turn he can mint a flying Inkling, feed card advantage (at 1 life), or pump the board, while his flying double strike body pressures life totals. The 99 backs him with counter payoffs (Cathars' Crusade, Sigarda's Summons, Basri's Lieutenant), death-trigger engines (Teysa Karlov, Vein Ripper, Pitiless Plunderer, Corpse Knight), and recursive cheap bodies (Gravecrawler, Forsaken Miner, Butcher Ghoul). Primary wins are overwhelming combat (often capped by Moonshaker Cavalry or Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite) and aristocrats drains; secondary lines include Gray Merchant of Asphodel devotion swings, Bolas's Citadel top-deck cast, and slow infinite mill/drain loops through Altar of Dementia. The deck is value-oriented rather than explosive, leaning on incremental board presence and life total attrition.
