Deck overview

This Orzhov control/punisher deck, helmed by Kambal, Consul of Allocation, aims to drain opponents incrementally while locking down the board with stax pieces and forced sacrifice effects. The primary game plan revolves around punishing noncreature spells with Kambal, generating value from creature deaths via draw engines like Grim Haruspex and Morbid Opportunist, and reanimating high-impact threats such as Kokusho, the Evening Star and Sheoldred, Whispering One. The deck wins through attrition-draining life totals with Syr Konrad, the Grim, Kokusho's death trigger, and combat damage from reanimated creatures. It lacks fast combos, instead relying on a dense stax package (Ghostly Prison, Crawlspace, Drana and Linvala) to slow opponents while grinding out card advantage and incremental life loss.
