Format: Commander

Commander: Xyris, the Writhing Storm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This symmetrical draw- and Snake-token deck is built to exploit Xyris, the Writhing Storm, turning every extra opponent draw into a growing army of 1/1 Snakes. The plan is to cast Xyris early, deploy group-hug enchantments such as Howling Mine, Font of Mythos, and Temple Bell, then multiply the Snake output with Parallel Lives and Adrix and Nev, Twincasters. Wins come from overwhelming combat, sacrificing Snakes to Goblin Bombardment, or using Folio of Fancies to mill enormous hands. The commander is the linchpin, so the deck packs protection spells, free counterspells, and instant-speed interaction to keep Xyris alive while the engine out-values the table.
