Deck overview

Eriette of the Charmed Apple commands an Orzhov enchantress deck that blends pillowfort defense, combat redirection, and incremental life drain. The strategy revolves around attaching cheap Auras to both friendly creatures and opposing threats. Opponents cannot attack you with enchanted creatures, allowing you to neutralize major threats with cards like Darksteel Mutation and Planar Disruption while forcing infighting through goad Auras like Ghoulish Impetus. Meanwhile, card-draw engines such as Sram, Senior Edificer and Kor Spiritdancer maintain a steady flow of resources. At each end step, Eriette drains each opponent and gains life equal to the number of Auras you control, creating an inevitable, non-combat clock. The deck backs up this drain strategy with token swarms from Sigil of the Empty Throne and Archon of Sun's Grace, or massive Voltron strikes using All That Glitters. Mass recursion spells like Retether and Brilliant Restoration ensure long-term resilience against board wipes.
