Deck overview

This is a mono-black life-drain/punishment deck helmed by Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. The primary game plan is to force opponents to draw extra cards through symmetrical draw effects (Howling Mine, Temple Bell, Font of Mythos, Teferi's Puzzle Box) while Sheoldred and other punishers (Underworld Dreams, Fate Unraveler) turn each draw into life loss. The deck also assembles infinite life-drain loops via Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond or similar combos (Bloodthirsty Conqueror + Enduring Tenacity). Backup wins include Aetherflux Reservoir (life-gain payoff) and Exsanguinate. The strategy is resilient and layered, but it leans heavily on the commander's presence to maximize the draw-punish axis.
