Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis kindred aggro-reanimator deck commanded by Loki, the Deceiver. The primary strategy focuses on deploying synergistic Villain creatures early, casting Loki on Turn 4, and attacking on Turn 5 to duplicate high-impact Villains as attacking Illusion tokens while drawing cards on combat damage. Frequent connive triggers loot cards into the graveyard, setting up powerful mass reanimation spells like Behold the Sinister Six! and Rise of the Dark Realms. The deck closes games around Turns 6–8 using overwhelming evasive combat damage amplified by anthems like The Squadron Sinister, extra combats from Karlach, Fury of Avernus, or token retention using Sundial of the Infinite and Obeka, Brute Chronologist. A robust interaction suite featuring Deflecting Swat, Fierce Guardianship, and Cyclonic Rift protects the board and disrupts opposing game plans.
