Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan Phyrexian toxic swarm deck commanded by Vishgraz, the Doomhive. The primary game plan revolves around deploying low-cost toxic creatures and token producers in the opening turns, establishing corrupted status on opponents, and resolving Vishgraz on Turn 5 to produce a wide board of toxic Mites. On Turn 6, the deck initiates its critical onset through wide attacks backed by proliferate triggers, anthem effects, or evasion enablers like Behind the Scenes. Because toxic bypasses the 40-life total requirement by winning at 10 poison counters, the clock moves swiftly once initial counters connect. The deck incorporates light stax pieces such as Phyrexian Censor and Authority of the Consuls to suppress opposing counter-attacks and limit non-Phyrexian combo turns. Backup plans utilize high-impact threats like Tyrranax Rex and mass token generation from White Sun's Twilight to close out the game if Vishgraz is removed.
