Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin Oakenshield

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thorin Oakenshield is a cheap Boros commander who lets the deck's Dwarves, Equipment, and legendary permanents come together as a ward-protected combat army. The primary plan is to land Thorin early, strap him with cheap Equipment, and turn on Storied so artifacts and creatures gain ward {1}. Secondary paths are Dwarf-token go-wide with Fili, Bifur, and Dwarven Shortsword, plus a damage-multiplier package using Gratuitous Violence, Dain Ironfoot, and Bulk Up to close out. There is no hidden commander and no infinite combo; the deck wins through repeated combat and relies on cheap protection and recursion to survive disruption.
