Deck overview

This is a Grixis "amass + the Ring tempts you" midrange deck helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord. The primary plan is to grow a single massive Army through amass triggers, convert Army swings into ring temptations, and use Sauron's discard-and-draw-four ability to keep the hand full. Along the way, Anger and Wonder are easily binned for haste and flying, while Lord of the Nazgul and Saruman, the White Hand provide secondary boards. The deck finishes through evasive combat - Herald of Secret Streams, Eternal Skylord, Eldrazi Monument - or through reach like All Will Be One, Fiery Inscription, and Lasting Tarfire. It can also pivot into mass reanimation with Living Death and Rise of the Dark Realms. This is a fair, grindy deck: it aims to out-value the table rather than assemble a compact combo.
