Commander: Sarulf, Realm Eater

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Golgari (+1/+1 counter) deck is helmed by Sarulf, Realm Eater, a wolf that grows from opponent permanents dying and can wipe all nonland permanents below its power at your upkeep. The deck aims to control the board through a dense suite of sacrifice effects-Fleshbag Marauder, Plaguecrafter, Braids, Cabal Minion-that feed Sarulf counters while simultaneously clearing opposing threats. Multiple counter-doublers (Branching Evolution, Corpsejack Menace, Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider) and 'plus one' effects (Hardened Scales, Kami of Whispered Hopes) rapidly escalate creature sizes, turning midrange beats into a clock. An extensive mana base with fetch lands and ramp spells ensures consistent colour access, while a handful of instant-speed interaction pieces (Assassin's Trophy, Beast Within) answer key permanents. The deck wins through commander damage or an overwhelming board of massive creatures; there are no infinite combos.
