Deck overview

This deck is a focused Mardu aggro-cheat strategy built around Kaalia of the Vast. Its primary game plan is to accelerate Kaalia into play, declare an attack, and cheat massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. By circumventing high casting costs, the deck rapidly establishes an overwhelming aerial board presence. Key threats such as Archfiend of Despair and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight double damage output, while extra-combat enablers like Aurelia, the Warleader and Full Throttle compress the damage clock to eliminate the entire table across consecutive turns. Defensive cards like Grand Abolisher and Dawn's Truce protect Kaalia during critical combat steps, while utility hate pieces like Drannith Magistrate and Blind Obedience slow down faster opponents.
