Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai Elf toolbox built around Thranduil, the Elvenking. Thranduil, the Elvenking gains all activated abilities of Elf cards in your graveyard and draws cards when another legendary Elf enters. You fill the graveyard quickly with Hermit Druid, Mesmeric Orb, Buried Alive, Entomb and Ripples of Undeath, then use Thranduil, the Elvenking as a flexible engine. He can copy mana abilities from Priest of Titania, Elvish Archdruid, Marwyn, the Nurturer or Bloom Tender, untap abilities from Quirion Ranger or Wirewood Lodge, and finishers from Ezuri, Renegade Leader or Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. The deck wins through layered infinite mana and untap combos rather than combat alone, with Agatha's Soul Cauldron, Staff of Domination and Thousand-Year Elixir as key enablers. It plays as a tutor-heavy combo deck that can also grind value through legendary Elf triggers.
