infinite sacrifices by Veritas

Format: Commander

Commander: Gorma, the Gullet

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gorma, the Gullet heads a Golgari aristocrats deck centered on turning creature deaths into an engine. The primary plan is to assemble a persist loop: a non-tap sacrifice outlet plus a persist creature such as Putrid Goblin, with Gorma's enter-counter effect (or Mazirek as backup) wiping away the -1/-1 counter, producing infinite death triggers, mana, and drain. Secondary paths include Sephiroth's transform drain, token pressure from Bitterblossom/Jadar/Ophiomancer, and the Gitrog mount beatdown. The commander is both enabler and payoff, growing with every death; the deck remains functional if it is not cast thanks to Mazirek and value engines. There is no hidden double-faced commander; the DFC Sephiroth is an alternate payoff.
