Deck overview

Helmed by Ares, God of War, this is a Rakdos goblin-token aristocrats/aggro deck. The plan is to flood the battlefield with cheap Goblins and token generators such as Krenko, Mob Boss, General Kreat, the Boltbringer, Mogg War Marshal, Siege-Gang Lieutenant, and Empty the Warrens, then sacrifice the swarm for mana, cards, and death triggers. Ares, God of War rewards the combat-sacrifice gameplan by returning nontoken attackers that die in combat to hand, letting key Goblins generate their enters-the-battlefield and death triggers repeatedly. The finish comes from a critical-mass alpha strike using Shared Animosity, Redoubled Stormsinger, and Great Train Heist, or from incremental reach provided by Goblin Bombardment, Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, Boggart Cursecrafter, and Impact Tremors, with Exsanguinate as a late-game mana dump.
