Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Rakdos strategy centered around Smaug the Impenetrable. Smaug possesses flying, indestructible, haste, and a unique triggered ability that creates Treasure tokens equal to any noncombat damage dealt to him. The game plan focuses on deploying mana acceleration and Treasure generators during the first four turns, casting Smaug on Turn 5, and targeting him with high-damage spells like Cut Propulsion, Self-Destruct, or Blasphemous Act. Because Smaug is indestructible, he survives these effects while generating 8 to 16 Treasure tokens instantly. The deck then converts this sudden influx of mana and artifact enters/leaves triggers into decisive table-wide damage via Torment of Hailfire, Mirkwood Bats, Reckless Fireweaver, or Marionette Apprentice. Secondary win conditions include massive dragon combat and alternate artifact win triggers like Hellkite Tyrant.
