Deck overview

This mono-white list is an attrition-control deck built around the life total as its primary resource, helmed by Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant. The front face is a cheap 2/2 whose transform condition - 30 or more life - the deck is engineered to cross early via Speaker of the Heavens, Serra Ascendant, Auriok Champion, lifelink attacks, and incidental gain triggers. The back face, Rune-Tail's Essence, is the defensive core: prevent all damage to creatures you control, effectively removing creature combat as a way to kill you. From behind that shield, the deck compounds life with doublers like Alhammarret's Archive, Rhox Faithmender, and Cleric Class, then closes through three life-based win conditions: Test of Endurance, Aetherflux Reservoir, and Angel of Destiny. Sun Titan, Emeria, the Sky Ruin, and Hall of Heliod's Generosity provide the long-game recursion shell, making this an inevitability deck that wins by outliving three opponents.
