Deck overview

This four-color deck pairs Akiri, Line-Slinger and Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix to drive an artifact-heavy Equipment Voltron strategy featuring the complete cycle of the ten Swords of X and Y. Akiri enters early as an aggressive threat whose power scales with artifact lands, mana rocks, and equipment, while vigilance and first strike keep defensive lines intact. Kydele sits in the command zone to convert hand-cycling wheel effects like Windfall and Tolarian Winds into bursts of colorless mana, fueling high equip costs and multi-spell turns. Supporting legends like Bruenor Battlehammer, Sigarda's Aid, and Lightning, Army of One accelerate equipment attachments and amplify damage output. The deck wins by progressively eliminating opponents with protected, high-power commander attacks across multiple combat phases. Its main constraints are a lack of targeted tutors and stack counterplay, leaving it vulnerable to mass artifact sweepers and slow multi-turn combat clocks.
