Deck overview

This Queen Marchesa deck is a dedicated political aikido and forced-combat build designed to manipulate multiplayer dynamics. The strategy centers on introducing the Monarch to generate consistent card advantage while deploying goad effects, Impetus auras, and attack taxes to force opponents to battle each other. By protecting its life total through deterrents like Orzhov Advokist, Combat Calligrapher, and Nils, Discipline Enforcer, the deck lets opponents whittle down their own life totals and resources. Symmetrical draw spells like Secret Rendezvous and Cut a Deal keep the game moving and curry favor. Once opposing life totals are depleted and boards are overextended, the deck pivots into its closing phase on Turn 7 using mass combat swings such as Taunt from the Rampart, Mob Rule, or Insurrection to deliver a decisive finish by Turn 8. While resilient to commander removal, the deck remains vulnerable to non-combat combo strategies and lacks hard stack interaction.
