Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius aggro-control strategy centered on Denzilore Fatehold. Denzilore converts every scry and surveil effect into a board-wide +1/+1 counter pump. The deck curves low-cost utility fliers like Faerie Seer and Augury Owl into Denzilore on Turn 4, capitalizing on flash to time entry safely. From Turn 5 onward, multi-step scry cards such as Cryptic Annelid and repeatable triggers rapidly inflate the board. Finishers like Herald of Secret Streams, Abzan Falconer, and Deepglow Skate ensure damage connects unimpeded, while one-sided tools like Damning Verdict clear opposing defenses. A compact suite of efficient countermagic (Counterspell, Dovin's Veto) protects key setup windows, and mild tax elements such as Grand Arbiter Augustin IV slow down faster opponents. While lacking infinite combos, the list leverages card selection and scaling combat power to finish opponents across Turns 6 to 8.
