Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages Lluwen, Imperfect Naturalist as an early self-mill enabler and a potent late-game token generator. The core game plan focuses on filling the graveyard with land cards through fetchlands, cycling lands, dredge mechanics like Life from the Loam, and self-mill effects. By utilizing land recursion engines such as Ramunap Excavator, Conduit of Worlds, and Ancient Greenwarden, the deck achieves high mana velocity and steady card advantage. In the mid-to-late game, it translates graveyard land density into overwhelming board states using Lluwen's activated ability to create large swarms of 1/1 Worm tokens, or through landfall powerhouses like Titania, Nature's Force and Scute Swarm. As a compact backup win condition, the deck features the infinite Magecraft combo of Chain of Smog with Witherbloom Apprentice or Professor Onyx to drain opponents directly. It functions as a resilient, grind-heavy midrange strategy with strong recovery and explosive token finishes.
