Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Mono-Black Aristocrats and resource-denial deck helmed by Tergrid, God of Fright. The primary strategy focuses on assembling an infinite life-drain loop utilizing free sacrifice outlets such as Phyrexian Altar or Warren Soultrader, self-recurring creatures like Forsaken Miner or Gravecrawler, and drain effects such as Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthroat. In parallel, the commander enables an oppressive attrition strategy, converting symmetric edicts like Plaguecrafter and Sheoldred's Edict into overwhelming board theft. Backed by explosive draw engines such as Ad Nauseam, Bolas's Citadel, Skullclamp, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, the deck rapidly cycles through its library to find missing combo pieces while keeping opposing boards completely suppressed.
