Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis control and burn strategy commanded by Kefka, Court Mage. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with mana rocks and rituals, establishing trigger-enhancing permanents like Harmonic Prodigy and discard payoffs like Waste Not. Deploying Kefka on turn 4 strips cards from all players while generating significant card draw. On subsequent turns, the deck leverages asymmetric engines like Oppression and Tergrid, God of Fright to deplete opposing resources, or channels mana through Vivi Ornitier to activate Kefka's 8-mana transform ability. Once transformed into Kefka, Ruler of Ruin, pairing the commander with Psychosis Crawler forms an immediate infinite loop: drawing a card causes opponents to lose life, which causes Kefka to draw cards, eliminating all opponents simultaneously. Strong countermagic, redirection, and reanimation ensure consistent defense and rapid recovery.
