Deck overview

This competitive Commander deck is an explosive Gruul turbo engine helmed by Etali, Primal Conqueror. The core game plan revolves around rapidly generating seven mana on Turns 2–3 through a high-density suite of fast mana artifacts, dorks, and explosive red rituals like Treasonous Ogre, Geosurge, and Jeska's Will. Once Etali enters the battlefield, it immediately exiles and casts the top nonland card of each player's library for free. The deck leverages redundant clone effects, including Molten Duplication, Twinflame, and Heat Shimmer, to repeatedly re-trigger Etali's ability and cascade through libraries. It seamlessly transitions into compact win conditions such as Food Chain with Squee, the Immortal, Dualcaster Mage copy loops, or Passionate Archaeologist burn to finish all three opponents in a single explosive turn. Backed by dedicated anti-counter protection like Veil of Summer, Cavern of Souls, and Deflecting Swat, the deck executes its proactive strategy with format-ceiling velocity.
