Format: Commander

Commander: The Wise Mothman

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This is a compact, tutor-heavy combo deck that treats The Wise Mothman as a value engine rather than the kill. The primary game plans are the classic Thassa's Oracle + Demonic Consultation / Tainted Pact line and the Food Chain loop with Eternal Scourge or Misthollow Griffin feeding an infinitely large Walking Ballista. The commander's rad-counter and mill synergies with Altar of the Brood and Ashiok, Dream Render provide a secondary beatdown path, but the deck is built to assemble one of its compact two- or three-card kills behind a dense stack of free counterspells and cheap tutors. It is a fast, low-to-the-ground deck that can win without ever committing the commander to the battlefield.
