Watch Me Whip Playtest by m1abrams

Format: Commander

Commander: Whiplash, Vengeful Engineer

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Whiplash, Vengeful Engineer leads an aggressive mono-black artifact deck that blends rapid equipment pressure with compact combo finishes. Whiplash enters early to convert low-cost equipment into widespread life drain on each attack. While combat damage backed by cards like Blackblade Reforged, Buster Sword, and Hatred can quickly eliminate players, the deck primarily aims to assemble deterministic combos. Key routes include the Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank loop, infinite mana and stats via Metalworker and Umbral Mantle, or storming through the library with Sensei's Divining Top, Mystic Forge, and a cost reducer into Aetherflux Reservoir. Explosive black mana acceleration ensures lethal pressure before opponents can establish control.
