Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated mono-green stompy strategy commanded by Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The central plan is to leverage aggressively costed, high-power creatures such as Pugnacious Hammerskull, Steel Leaf Champion, and Regal Imperiosaur on the early turns. These oversized bodies rapidly meet Ghalta's cost-reduction threshold, enabling the 12/12 trampling commander to enter the battlefield as early as Turn 4 for just two green mana. Once established, the deck converts high power into continuous card draw through engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise. The deck closes out multiplayer games through overwhelming combat damage, scaling its board presence with game-ending force multipliers like Unnatural Growth and Overwhelming Stampede. While highly explosive and redundant in threat density, the list is inherently vulnerable to mass creature sweepers and lacks stack-based interaction, making aggressive sequencing and timely board replenishment essential.
