Deck overview

This deck is a Mono-Black Artifact Aristocrats and Reanimator strategy piloted by Illuminor Szeras. The game plan revolves around accelerating mana early with artifact ramp and deploying Szeras on Turn 3. On Turn 4, Szeras sacrifices mid-sized artifact creatures to generate massive bursts of black mana, rapidly accelerating into high-impact threats like Bolas's Citadel, Shard of the Void Dragon, and Canoptek Spyder. The deck leverages graveyard recursion through Living Death, Victimize, and Technomancer to repeatedly cycle heavy artifact creatures. Opponents face persistent attrition from asymmetric board wipes like Their Name Is Death and sacrifice triggers from Grave Pact. The deck closes games around Turn 7 via overwhelming combat damage from reanimated constructs, drain triggers from Marionette Master and Syr Konrad, the Grim, or a massive Exsanguinate. While vulnerable to instant-speed graveyard exile and lacking stack interaction, its explosive mana generation and recursion provide strong mid-game resilience.
