Maralen

Format: Commander

Commander: Maralen, Fae Ascendant

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Maralen, Fae Ascendant turns every Elf/Faerie ETB into exile-card advantage and gives one free spell per turn once the tribe reaches critical mass. The primary plan is to flood the board with cheap Elves and Faeries, use Maralen to cheat out high-value creatures/spells, and finish with Coat of Arms or Lathril's drain. Secondary paths include landfall draw/tokens via Tatyova and Thranduil, and graveyard recursion with Aphetto Dredging/Gamekeeper. The deck operates as a mid-speed tribal engine rather than a combo deck; its clock depends on assembling ten-plus tribal creatures rather than resolving a compact infinite line. Lathril is the closest backup commander, offering a drain-token alternative.
