Format: Commander

Commander: Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER // Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER is the front-side engine of a mono-black aristocrats value deck: the deck wants small recursive creatures, death-payment permanents, and one-shot sacrifice effects to force four deaths in a turn, transform to Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel, and gain the emblem. The primary plan is incremental life drain from Blood Artist-style effects, amplified by a transformed commander that draws on attack while sacrificing many bodies. A secondary attrition plan uses Braids, Grave Pact, and Butcher of Malakir to strip opponents' boards. There is no hidden commander; both faces matter, but the deck is built to use the front for setup and the back for explosive draw/drain. Exsanguinate is the only direct finisher.
