Deck overview

Tasha, the Witch Queen pilots a Dimir milling-and-theft control deck. The primary plan is to survive the early game with countermagic and selective removal, then use Tasha's +1 to pile page counters while opponents' libraries feed the graveyard. Tasha's -3 casts a stolen spell for free, and every spell cast from the exile zone creates a 3/3 Demon token. The main finishing line is not combat: Phenax, God of Deception combines with Eater of the Dead and a large graveyard pool to mill libraries; Maddening Cacophony and Consuming Aberration both seed and accelerate that pile. There is no double-faced commander. Tasha is the drew and payoff engine, but Phenax is the hidden commander, serving as the deck's true mill backbone. Theft pieces and the unblockable Mindskinner are backup threats.
