Deck overview

This Gruul deck focuses on aggressive Voltron combat powered by Wolverine, Best There Is. Wolverine's static ability doubles all damage he deals, turning modest power increases into lethal commander damage threats in very few swings. The deck supports this aggressive game plan with cheap equipment like Lizard Blades, Shadowspear, and Commander's Plate, alongside +1/+1 counter synergies and fight spells such as Tail Swipe and Beastie Beatdown that grow Wolverine while removing opposing blockers. Mana acceleration from Sol Ring, Mana Vault, and Birds of Paradise ensures Wolverine enters on Turn 3 and begins attacking on Turn 4. Standalone disruption pieces like Blood Moon and Winter Orb can slow opposing development, while Deflecting Swat and Mithril Coat defend Wolverine against targeted removal. The deck seeks to eliminate opponents one by one through overwhelming commander damage.
