Self-Consuming Swarm by user6524319

Format: Commander

Commander: The Swarmweaver

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

The Swarmweaver helms a Golgari insect/spider tribal deck that leans heavily into graveyard synergies, token generation, and the delirium mechanic. The primary game plan is to mill cards quickly to achieve delirium (four card types in the graveyard), which turns the commander's two flying insect tokens into deathtouch threats and pumps the entire insect/spider army. The deck builds a wide board through landfall triggers (Scute Swarm, Iridescent Hornbeetle), repeated mill effects (Crawling Sensation, Crawling Infestation), and token doublers like Primal Vigor. Wins come from overwhelming combat damage, often finishing with Overwhelming Encounter or Glorious Sunrise. The deck sports moderate recursion via Conduit of Worlds, Regrowth, and Metamorphosis Fanatic, but has no infinite combos and relies on natural draws due to a complete absence of tutors.
